STORY : A Mixed use development planned for Oakland Park. With proximity to the developing Oakland Park Downtown we wanted to be a friendly neighbor and encourage and dialogue between the two places. We also wanted the public to come into the small village and make there way onto the future river walk. The idea mixes a municipal building, community shops, and international brand names on the ground floor, with the residents and parking facilities above. As you make your way through the plaza towards the river, you pass through landscaped corridors, a covered event space, elevated dog park and come out onto the river where there is the beginning piece of a river walk and bike lane.
